History Repeats Itself

Lincoln was elected in 1860--Kennedy was killed in 1960. Both were deeply involved in the civil rights struggles. The names of each contain seven letters and they both lost a son in the war. Both were assassinated on a Friday and both in the presence of their wives. Lincoln was killed in Ford's Theater, Kennedy was in a Lincoln by Ford. The names of both assasins have fifteen letters, John Wilkes Booth shot Lincoln in a theater and then ran to a warehouse while Lee Harvey Oswald shot Kennedy from a warehouse and then ran to a theater. Both assasins were shot before being brought to trial and Lincoln and Kennedy were both succeeded by Southern Democrats named Johnson. Andrew Johnson was born in 1808 and Lyndon B. Johnson was born in 1908....
