I am 24yrs old. The reason I want to be in SBS-C.O.R.E. program is that I think the program has what I need in order for me to receive my bachelor's degree. One of the things I have trouble with is understanding things the first time. It has always taken me a little longer. I have heard that the program (faculty) will give me that extra time I need. Once I've been accepted I am going to major in communications. I was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. I graduated from an alternative high school (Flint School of Choice) It was a school that let me work at my own pace, I was able to grasp a lot more because there was no pressure on me. I've been to college before (Voorhees, Mott, Wiley) and for the most part they didn't have the support I needed. I now know that I was not as motivated as I am today. I think the SBS-C.O.R.E. Program has the support I need. I am looking for the teachers and the programs to give me guidance and more time if needed to complete assignments.
