Internship Opportunity
Internship Opportunity To: International Business Machines Ltd. (IBM) Canada I am applying to the position of WWW Programmer/Media Design for your co-op posting of January 26th 2000 at the University of [NAME HERE]. I have good knowledge of your company, IBM, and wish to be a part of this great company that daily helps its customers with customized solutions. I know of the wide range of services your company provides, from your E-Business solutions for companies to customized knowledge-based marketing, which you call Business Intelligence. IBM has an unmatched global reputation due to the extent of the services provided. My area of expertise and interest lies in the Business and Economics field with an equal devotion to Computer Science education and training. As you will see from my résumé, the projects and presentations that I have conducted have made me experienced on diverse tasks and wish to share them with your company. It was a coincidence for me to read this posting because it applied exactly to what I would look for in a job and each one of its requirements can be met by the characteristics I possess, thus I feel that I would be fitting for this co-op job placement. At this point I would like to request an interview so we can talk one on one and see if I fulfill your requirements, openly and in person. I would like to mention that I agree with the company’s motto: “It’s about Business, not just Technology”. I genuinely would like to take on ‘this challenge’ that IBM Canada’s President John Wetmore has set out. As stated in your Job Description, I would prefer an eight month term with your company if I were to be hired. Regardless, I thank you in advance for taking the time to read my letter and résumé and I wish you, the Employer, luck in your search for the ideal student who will take up this job. Bibliography:
