They also realized that Oswald's view would have been obstructed by a large tree for a portion of the time.So, the FBI gathered the top sharpshooters in our country for the test. They were all issued the same Mannlicher- Carcano rifle used by Oswald. They were told to fire three shots at targets 45 feet away (distance that is considerable shorter than the actual shot).
