you can tell by the name that Mr. Johnson was the mean next-door neighbor that had all of the goodies that a kid longs for and it just so happens that we found a way to get into the yard just three days earlier. So being the bright kids that we are we started to go through the “secret passageway” that we discovered. My brother whispered if he gets the ladder, don’t you go on that roof. I heeded and went back to getting the ladder. There was a lock on the shed door that prevented us from getting to the ladder, or so we thought. We rattled the lock in frustration only to find that the lock was open! So we went in to get the ladder. Finally we had the ladder and back to the roof. He put the ladder up to the roof and my brother said “watch this.” Sure enough soon as he got up on the roof he fell off and broke his collarbone. We laughed and laughed. That’s just one case of where I listened and I hope there will be many more....
