The members of the team should also be aware of the cultural factors that play a role in communication. Cultural interpretation and adaptation are a prerequisite to the comparative understanding of national and international management practices.6 For example, during contract negotiations with a Japanese company there are times of long pronounced silence on the part of the Japanese.
