Matury in video games
Matury in video games It’s SAD to see all the “mature gamers” judge games on their licenses and graphics, rather than gameplay. All those people criticize Banjo-Tooie for being immature. It’s one of the best games ever made, for your information. Graphically it’s the N64’s best with super-crisp textures, real-time lighting, real-time shadow tracing and a awesome camera system. Nintendo/Rare games are for all ages, not for babies. The so-called “mature” games are just mediocre games, masked with FMVs and appealing violence. As much as I enjoyed Shenmue, it doesn’t have much gameplay. It has a good story and good graphics, but the gameplay was mediocre. Those kind of games appeal to the masses. Hardcore gamers play games with gameplay. The only true “kiddie” games are the ones that have gameplay for babies, like Pokemon, Kirby and Yoshi’s Story. Crash Bandicoot and Banjo-Tooie are hardly “kiddie” games, but they feature a “kiddie” story line. Wether you’re hardcore or you only like “mature” games, the GameCube demos look great and there’s a lot of “mature” games scheduled for release such as Too Human, Rebirth, Eternal Darkness, Perfect Dark 2, Metroid, Thornado, Rogue Squadron 2, Picassio, Turok 3, Resident Evil 0 and all those sports games.
