Cons of NATO EXPANSION

om other NATO nations to modernize their military. The CzechRepublic economy does not have that kind of money though. As NATO expands manyof the smaller countries cannot or do not want to pay extra fees for things like militaryenlargement. These expenses will most likely get dumped on us. Causing the UnitedStates costs to climb up to the way it was during the Cold War. Some also think that as NATO grows in size it grows in weakness. The morenations it has the less decisive it will be. Many of the new countries will not be able tomake decisions because they do not understand the concerns of NATO. The UnitedStates does not want to get dragged in to things that dont concern us. The U.S. might bedrug into unsafe and deadly conflicts that do not concern our national interests. The onlyway to protect some of the Baltic nations is to use the threat of nuclear weapons.As you can see the expansion of NATO has many drawbacks. The U.S. does nothave any real reasons to want the expansion of NATO. It could cause some realeconomic and security problems that this country could do without....
