HS Uniforms

as in class I felt that it was easier to pay attention because there was no one wearing something that caught the eye and made me look at what they were wearing. This would not cost much to put into effect, each student would buy a few sets of their uniform and they could wear the same thing all year. Also there would have to be a company that made the uniforms for all of the schools so in turn this would make more jobs for people to work at. I feel that this will work because if you are a poorer child and you are dressed exactly the same as a rich kid then you do not feel inferior to the richer kid. You will feel as an equal. Another positive for having uniforms is the fact that a person does not have to decide what they will wear to school the next day; they know and do not worry about it. There are some disadvantages to this plan however. First of all when the dress code would first be put into effect everyone would have to go out and buy the uniforms. These kids might not like the fact that they can not wear what they want. At first most of the kids would hate the idea of uniforms I know that I did, But over time they grow on you to where they are a lot better than you originally thought. One other problem would be to decide what should the uniform consist of and how strict the punishments should be for not wearing the uniform correctly. So in conclusion I feel that there is a strong need for uniforms in our high schools today and that if we have them it will make things a lot better for the kids attending the schools. ...
