Pepe Jeans shorts for their girlfriends, the girlfriends will swoon, lay on their back, put their legs up in the air, and stare at their boyfriend with bedroom eyes. If that happens, the advertisement was successful in your purchase towards those pair of jeans. Both of these advertisements are smothered in the appeal in the need for attention because if you buy Jordache Jeans, you can look like the beautiful woman in the ad and have guys to the left and the right of you, and if you buy Pepe Jeans you can be the woman that all the men are drooling over. In the need for sex and to escape daily obligations, falls the Nair, Bare Assets, and Caress advertisements. The reason why these ads fall under the need for sex appeal is because all of the women in the ads are either in short shorts, bikini, or naked. There are varieties of escape, campaign of dream vacations, people acting playfully, and parties in soft drink ads. I would also regard these ads as having the need to escape appeal because each ad portrays them having fun and forgetting about daily obligations Nair: The woman is riding on the mans shoulders as he is holding her soft legs. They are running through the grass laughing in the breeze on a sunny, spring day. Bare Assets: Beautiful, blonde, woman in a floral bikini standing on the sunny beach in front of a straw umbrella. Caress: The nude woman covering her private parts with a silky shawl looks as though she is day dreaming and looks so relaxed. Many advertisers like appealing to the need for escape because the sensation of pleasure often accompanies escape. Each product portrays to life as being blissful if you buy them and also ties in with freedom, the freedom that every individual yearns for whenever life becomes too oppressive. In every instance, the consumer exposed to the advertisement is invited to momentarily depart from everyday life for a more carefree experience, preferably with the product in hand.
