When the order was given to attack, each of these "officers" would in turn, give the order to their group of men, thus putting the battle into play. They were aware of the tactical advantage of height, as well as surprise, because Marc Anthony ambushed Brutus' army while they were crossing through the bottom of a ravine, and wiped them out.Friendship was very important to the Romans. This can be seen in the love that Marc Anthony showed towards Caesar after his death which led him to begin the battle with Brutus, as well as the close friendship between the nobles which killed Caesar. The Roman people were very loyal, although they could be temporarily swayed from their loyalty, as seen when Brutus convinced the people that their cause for the murder of Caesar was a just one. No religion was brought to the attention of the viewer.Entertainment was also very important to the Romans. The beginning of the movie showed multitudes of people crowding into a coliseum to watch a fight. Honor was an important trait of the day; Brutus as well as a few of his generals killed themselves, rather than be caught by the enemy. Brutus never said anything bad about Caesar, in fact he complimented him, he said that his death was for the benefit of the country, not for him.In closing, ancient Rome was a place of majestic buildings, beautiful sculptures, and entertainment. And whose inhabitants were a loyal and loving people....
