Huckleberry Finn1

k. He values other people’s lives more than he values his own. He would give up his slavery to save a dying boy. Mark Twain did poke fun at American citizens in his novel, but at the same time he delivered a sense of courage and bravery within the characters, a sense of decency. Therefore, Huckleberry Finn should be on the reading lists in all American high schools, and the book in the hand of every American student. The novel teaches a moral lesson, and if the book is not taught, the mistakes of the past such as slavery (although maybe in the form of racism or prejudices) may rear their ugly heads again....
