far left-end corner caught my eyes; the glass door extended from top to bottom and was surrounded by the white painted wooden bars which led to a much bigger and messier office where boxes were stacked high right behind the doors. The sudden wind gust almost lulled me to my peaceful sleep during the long and dull moment in the office.Walking down the long narrow pathway my eyes traveled from side to side, and then moved persistently to the left. Passing a row of new, streamlined computers dyed in green, orange, purple, and pink. In between them were the black phones on the desk which flashes tiny red line on and off. I noticed to the right of me was a nice, neat spotless desktop filled with piles of flat and straight papers. I continued walking toward the wide-opened door halting at the noisy buzzing sounds which became louder and louder than before. Realizing the sounds came from the huge copy machine at the right corner in front of the door, I saw a big blue thin recycled bin and stacks of unopened paper supplies. Walking through the door and glancing to the left corner of the long coarse black pit counter, I saw a full pot of black hot coffee brewing a few minutes earlier and the basket was halfway filled with tiny Sweet n Low sugar bags. On top of the counter, I observed more colorful flyers, the OCC brown-looking charts, and the purplish-blue OCC fall class schedule of the year two thousand. Sitting behind the tall long smooth beige counter was a nice friendly brunette young lady in blue jeans and a white blouse. She introduced herself, and her voice echoed throughout the silent office. I stopped wandering and turned toward her and then placed my arms on the icy cold counter. Looking out the clean, clear window I saw behind her as teachers, students who were rushed rapidly just like a landslide or flood washed them by. Finishing my curious questions I finally walked out the quiet building and was glad to be gone....
