The person who served first in the set serves first in the tiebreaker. The Server serves for one point whether he loses the point or not. Then, the other player will serve for two points. They alternate back and forth from then on serving for two points apiece. The players switch ends of the court after every six points. The winner of the tiebreaker is determined by whoever can win six points first winning by two points. Thus, the player that wins the tiebreaker wins the set. Winning a set will not win the game though. It certainly does help to reach that goal. If it is a five game set, the first to win three wins the match. The scoring system is simple to learn and memorize.A few of my favorite players are Pete Sampras and Andy Rod*censored*. I like the way they play with great hustle. Pete Sampras is one of the greatest professional tennis players of all time. Born on August 12, 1971 in Washington, D.C., he is six foot, one inch tall and 170lbs. He is a right-handed player that has won sixty-three career titles. Looking at his career, Sampras became the youngest men’s champion at nineteen years of age by winning the 1990 U.S. Open. Sampras has won the ESPY award for Outstanding Men’s Tennis Performer seven times winning in 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2001. In 1994, he won his first Australian Open and second Wimbledon title. Also, he was the first tennis player to be ranked number one for a whole year since1987. Sampras won his third consecutive Wimbledon title in 1995. Winning eight out of nine finals appearances in 1996, he captured his fourth U.S. Open title. He steals his fourth Wimbledon title in five years in 1997 entering the year ranked number one in the world for the fourth consecutive year. Sampras won his fifth Wimbledon in 1998.
