r himself what exactly he wants to do. Danny has the pressures of becoming the next rabbi, but this idea repulses him. Danny has the right to choose what he wants to do with his life and no person or religion should be able to decide for him. Through out life many people have to face many decisions, and with these decisions consequences occur. With Danny, if he chooses to become a Rabbi, it will thrill his father, but Danny himself will be miserable. Danny will only be thrilled if he chooses to follow his dream of becoming a Psychologist, but this will dissapoint his father. Ultimately Danny had the choice to do what he wants, and Danny chooses to follow his dream, which will make him happy. Danny’s decision was difficult to make, and he did disappoint his father, but it was what he wanted to do, and he had every right to follow through with his dream. Despite Danny’s many decisions, deciding to remain in the Judaism culture is the ultimate choice. Each person is born in to a different culture; each person has a different back- ground in life. It is not a choice nor can anyone change which he or she is. Each person must accept which he or she is. However, each person has the right in choosing the expectation of the culture. People can do what is expected of them or they can branch out and be whoever he or she wants to be. In this case, Danny is born a Jew, but whether he chooses to follow the traditions of Judaism or become his own person, is his choice. In making this decision, many different fears fill Danny, and determining who and what he wants to be scares him.
