.People accused Tom of beating and raping Mayella Ewell, and people talk about Boo, andsay that he is a very violent person, when those things are both false. Another similaritybetween these two characters is that they are both really nice people. Tom helps outMayella with her house work without wanting anything in return and Boo helps out Jemand Scout a lot, he even saves their lives once. It is really devastating to live in a societywhere people are prejudice against you and they treat you like dogs and animals becauseyou just looked different from the others.Imagine u are harper Lee;s publisher and have just read her book. What advicewould u give her about the writing or publishin of the novelTo Kill a Mockingbird is a narrative written by Harper Lee. Harper Lee usesmediation to create a theme that illustrates the injustices of prejudice, intolerance, andquick judgments of others. Harper Lee choose the setting as an imaginary (Maycomb)county in Alabama during the 1930's. She set the story during this time because it was atime of social turbulence , and a time when Americans began to start thinking about moremodern social issues.Harper Lee chose to tell the book from the eyes of Scout, because Scout'sinnocence and young age allow her to have a pure, untainted view on any event that takesplace. In general, Scout observes, but has no preconception of the events that develop.Scout's point of view was also chosen because as a child, she can find the smallest bit ofgoodness that exists in anyone. But in my point of view, I think that Harper Lee shouldmake Boo Radly or Tom Robinson be the nararator. By having Boo Raldly or TomRobinson the nararator, the readers could have a much better understanding of how hetruely felt of the way people in Maycomb treated him.
