he says meekly. In the novel the setting also takes place in New Orleans and in Paris. The novel starts off with a young boy interviewing a vampire named Louis and fades off and on onto story scenes that Louis is telling to the young boy. Basically to say the settings in the movie and book are about the same. The writer Anne Rice also does a great job creating a vampire environment. But she doesn’t do as great of a job capturing the graphic bloody violence scenes as they are captured in the film. Even though the settings were very similar, I still found the movie much more entertaining to watch. The film has a sense of humor that the book never even alluded to. Some scenes are unchanged in the movie from the book. That’s why I found that the plot in the movie was exactly as it was in the book. There is a scene where Louis first feeds off of Claudia and her transformation, and there is also a scene at the Theatre de Vampires are practically word for word from the book. There is a scene where Claudia sleeps in Louis' coffin this also accurse in the movie. There is also a scene where Lestat locks a whore in a coffin which also accurse in the movie but much more entertaining to watch then read. Also, Lestat's two demises are the same, though there is no vampire musician who accompanies Lestat at that point in the book. Though the line about "I know someone who would make a better vampire than you is still there." There are also fore more scenes that are the same. I also found that the plot in the movie and the plot in the book occur at the same time. The plot occurs when, Louis and Claudia a 6-year-old girl decide to kill their creator, Leastat and move to Paris. Lestat loved the blood of man and women. He would bite, and then kill. Louis hated that. He survived on rats and chickens. Louis made one bite on a human that he regretted. It was a little girl, Claudia. He left her to die.
