High on HEMP

. We do have many hemp products in our stores here in the US, and we get our industrial hemp from our neighbor to the north, Canada. In Canada is it perfectly legal to grow hemp, and have hemp seeds. Hemp has very many uses demonstrated already and there are more to come. Hemp can be used to make clothes, shoes, beauty products, plastic, rope, canvas, and many other useful things. Not only can it be used to make one more beautiful, but it can also be used as a medicine. And who knows, maybe one day your house will be built of hemp, seeing that hemp fibers are much stronger that wood fibers. Hemp, I say legalize it! Hemp is a highly useable plant, and in one acre can produce more usable fiber than 4 acres of tree, and 2 acres of cotton. And you thought clothes, jewelry, and rope was a lot that hemp could make? Well there is over 25,000 things that hemp can be used to make! Some of the other products are; hats, candy, detergents, erosion control, lip-balm, tea, upholster, wallpaper, Xeroxes, and another 24,981 things!Not only space wise is hemp better, but also in recycling it is the optimum renewable resource. Hemp can be recycles twice as much as wood, and 1/3 more than cotton. Hemp can also be harvested every 100 days while trees every 100 years. Also hemp can be used as a fuel! As of now the US hemp industry grosses $23 million a year, but this is only production, not cultivation. When the settlers of America, or our forefathers, came to America with the knowledge that hemp was useful for many things, and to there delight, they found hemp plans lining the shores. At the end of the 19th century, hemp played a vital role in the economy, however only 25% of the hemp stalks was being used because of the lack of development. Seeing that this plan was such a phenomenon, a devise called the “hemp decorticating machine” was invented in 1917 making the hemp stalk usage up to 97%.In the late 30’s bigger companies producing lar...
