With the new mosque, there has come a feeling of exclusion from the more prominent members of the congregation. According to Muhammad, the festival is to be on the 10th day of the month of Dhul-Hijj, which is based on the lunar calendar. This is done by sighting the new moon and waiting until the 10th day.
