Interview
Interview Question 1: While running for president how much did you win by and was there any doubt in your mind that you wouldn’t win? Answer: I won over one hundred and eighty electoral votes out of a total of three hundred and three, with forty percent of the popular vote. That consisted of all the northern and West Coast states. However I was nervous a little because I won the plurality but not the majority of the popular vote. I only won was because I had the majority in the Electoral College. So, I was nervous a bit, like most people are when running for some thing, but I stayed strong and came out on top at the end which is all that really matters. Question 2: During the Civil War you believed that this war was to save the union and not to free the slaves but after a year into it you wrote the emancipation proclamation freeing the slaves. Why is that? Answer: Well, OT begin I wrote the Emancipation Proclamation secretly and didn’t announce it until January 1, 1863. I did this because I didn’t want to make it look like we needed blacks to save the Union. So, I told all the unions that left that if they didn’t come back by January 1,1863 that I was going to free the slaves. January 1,1863 came by and I freed all the slaves’ thing that it would help bring everyone together but unfortunately it didn’t. Question 3: Rumors have it that you wrote your speech about Gettysburg on the train there is this true Lincoln or is it not? Answer: That is totally inaccurate I prepared that speech long in advance. However I didn’t finish the actual text part of it until I was in Gettysburg. Question 4: During the Black Hawk War you were elected to be captain of the group. Could you tell me what that felt like? Answer: Oh, It gave me more pleasure that anything I have had since then. It really proved to myself that I have some kind of leadership responsibility in me. I was extremely proud of that thank you. Question 5: How would you describe your younger years of education? Answer: There was some schools, so called; but no qualification was ever required of a teacher, beyond, redin, writin, and cipherin to the rule of three. If a straggler supposed to understand Latin, happened to sojourn in the neighborhood he was looked upon as a wizard. There was absolutely nothing to excite ambition for education. Of course when I came of age I did not know much. Still some how I could read, write, and chipper the rule of thee, but that was all. Bibliography:
