In this first verse Marley talks atlas about how the black were taken from their home land and ship over in of the ship to America. They Marley talk how the blacks will unite and say strong and that the next generation to come will not have to become slaves. Finally Marley wants people to realize the pain that the blacks had and how the blacks lost their freedom and the they want it back.
