With his strive to change slavery and racism, Equiano made a mark in the world today.In his efforts to survive, Equiano not only freed himself from slave labor, but also freed his mind and soul. He was an amazing man, with answers for challenges that still face the world today. From Africa to Israel, from the Puritans to the Jews, Equiano saw the struggles of people searching for tolerance and freedom in their daily lives and most important their spirituality. Fortunately for those of us who never had to face persecution, we have his story to remind us that this struggle is far from over....
