Parents need to be more involved, rather than assuming a piece of software will be a babysitter. Teenagers, especially those that are not social, spend a lot of time on the Internet. Parents have to take the offense and become involved. If the child can't tell you the interesting things they are doing on the Internet, then they are probably doing something they don't want you to know about”(Mack 4). “Parents were once advised to give kids space in their rooms to do homework”, says Frank Connolloy, of American University. We now encourage families to put the computer in family rooms, the kitchen or other busy areas.
