wer, bought up all the means of production and then assigned people to work where they were most capable. The government decided that they would then take the goods produced and distribute them to the populous. It sounds good in theory but the government became greedy and kept much of the goods for themselves. The workers still got food, but there were long lines for bread and other necessities. The people became discouraged. People began to realize that they would still be fed whether they produced a lot or a little, so people started producing less. This mentality led to a cycle that ultimately brought communism crashing down in Russia.Why didnt communism work? I feel that even Marxs communism would fail miserably because it goes against human nature. What leader would put aside his power and fall in with the commoners? Castro? I think not. Who would want to produce 3 times as much as someone else to get the same benefit? No one.Marx was a brilliant man. His ideas helped bring the U.S. elements of socialism that were needed to balance the ups and downs of a capitalist economy. Without socialist elements people would starve every time the economy went into a recession. That said, Marxs communist manifesto was still far too much to expect of human beings....
