ck. Those who appose the death penalty such as the NAACP argue that the justice system favors the lives of white people than blacks. If this is so, the NAACP must consider that whites represent fifty-five percent of those execute while blacks only represent thirty-nine percent. This again was according to Nancy Jacobs. The death penalty is not a way of discriminating against any color or ethnicity, it strictly goes against those who kill just to kill.There is also talk against capital punishment on the levels of whether it is Humane. Was murdering somebody for whatever reason humane? According to Glenn Dunehew, In 1972, when the U.S. Supreme Court struck down every state death penalty statute in the nation, it was declared to be cruel and unusual punishment and a violation of the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution. But then, in 1976, the Supreme Court reversed its decision, declaring that the death penalty was acceptable as long as the court approved of the individual states punishment guidelines. There, according to the Constitution of the United States, capital punishment is acceptable. So why dont we all enforce it?To conclude this essay I would like to recap all that was discussed. I discussed how murderers commit crimes, pay a little for them then get released all over again. I touched on how people against it look for ways to abolish it, trying to call it inhumane and discriminatory.All in all I am totally for capital punishment, we cannot continue to allow criminals to get off easily. We pay taxes, we should have a say in how we deal with our crime. In my personal opinion, I feel that enforcing capital punishment more often will lower murders and make our country a much safer place to live.Joseph Stalin once stated, One death is a tragedy, but a million deaths are statistics. We need to quit making more statistics about how murderers get of clean and make more stating the our death penalty programs are reducing...
