st of all this is her child. Mrs. Jones who works for a local grocery store in town can't believe that no one has noticed that there might be some link in the eight cases. She goes home that night and talks with her husband Dave about what the doctor found and about the coincidence of the other seven children in their neighborhood being diagnosed with cancer. Dave believes she might be right however he is just worried about his son and since he works much more then her he thinks she should look into it and he will help her any way he can. The next day she tries and contacts the parents of the seven other children to ask if they ever looked into what caused their kids to have cancer. She can only contact a couple of the parents and although they feel sorry for what she is going to go through with her own kid they don't want to bring up past wounds and how they lost their children. Mrs. Jones then decides she is going to do some research and the first thing she thinks of is how before she heard of cancer clusters that occur in certain areas. She wants to know what the cause of such clusters are and why is one breaking out right in her own town. Through her research she finds that most clusters occur in an area that is found to either have had some kind of chemical leak or some kind of dumping that might have got into the drinking water. Immediately she thinks of the old Southern New Jersey Chemical Factory that has been in operation for over twenty years now right outside of town but she realizes that the manager of the factory is her husbands friend, Nate Whalen. ...
