Auschwitz was the largest death camp. In the camp the large chambers were installed were the Jews were gassed. When Jews arrived there, they were separated from their families. Strong, young people were taken to work in the camps, while weak and old people were taken to the gas chambers to be gassed. The SS soldiers told prisoners that they were going to take a shower, so they had to undress in an open place close to the gas chambers and give all their belongings to the soldiers.
