With the high demand for jobs and great expenses for survival, a person must have a chance at a good education. A common question is, does education differ around the world? The answer is yes! The Mexican educational system has struggled for many years with giving children a good education. The attitude toward education is, Those born to be poor needed no schooling for it was thought they would be better farmers if they didnt know to much. Although in recent years the influence of humanism has changed the focus of education. Curriculums were broadened to include history, literature, and languages. The purpose of this of this paper will be to discuss MexicoAs it digs itself out from under tremendous losses suffered as the result of overextension during the oil boom of the 1970s, Mexico is on the verge of a new economic boom thanks in part to the United States. Many hope that included in this new age of growth will be the country's educational system, for the government's role in recent years has continued to fall short of the population's demands as witnessed in the growing cycle of poverty. The purpose of this paper will be to discuss Mexico's educational system, focusing on secondary education.
