Always portraying Internal Affairs detectives as an almost evil entity, similar in stature as the criminals they are out to arrest. Instructing the audience through this style of language, "the rat squad (Internal Affairs) is always frickin out to nail our ass' to the wall and never let us do our jobs, sometimes I think there in bed with the perps."Both of these shows competently demonstrate their uses of transactional, expressive, and poetic style of languages while incorporating it into their distinct speech communities. This being a very important factor in illustrating to the audience the great impact those speech communities have to differentiate members of the police force or even the criminal world.
