concentration camps with full accuracy. Often an author leads towards melodrama when describing atrocities on a grand scale. So, instead, Wiesel gives the most accurate account he can without, for instance, describing a person in agony; merely content to only mention the fact of agony's existence. Night and Dawn are moving not because of Wiesel's passionate prose, but for the complex questions the author leaves behind. Overall, I enjoyed Night and Dawn for many reasons. This book informs and educates the reader about the holocaust and provides a most important message. Wiesel tells the story of people who were destroyed because of their religion. They were innocent victims, who had done nothing, yet were tormented, degraded, and often murdered, for no reason, other than being Jewish. The reader truly gets a picture of what life was like in a concentration camp. The suffering, pain, and torture is clear. This is a real account of the Nazi death camp horror. In addition, to learning about what really went on inside the concentration camps, Wiesel teaches the reader much more. The educational message of this work is there is no excuse for not trying to overcome evil and there is no situation for which we cannot come out with a resolve to be productive. By writing this book, Wiesel turned his horror into something productive. He clearly wants the reader to confront this horrible atrocity for the sake of the future. Wiesel.s personal writing style allows the reader to actually feel, see and taste the horrors that he experienced. This depressing subject matter is painful to read but extremely important. Wiesel took his most horrible life experience and turned it into a productive work. This work must help us all never forget what happened during World War II. Weisel has helped us all recapture enough of the reality of what actually happened so that hopefully it will never be allowed to happen again. I can think of little criti...
