ain event leading to the madness and she is the unstated ringleader of the hysteria. Abigail changes from a shy and quiet girl to an emotionally disturbed girl who is in the middle of the witch frenzy. It seems that Abigail controls the other girls who are said to be involved in the events. The other girls seem to follow whatever Abigail does. In the court when Abigail says she sees a bird in the rafters and instantly the girls pretend to be scared that the bird is trying to get her. In my opinion Abigail Williams is one of the most important character of the story. The Crucible is has an interesting storyline and is easy to read. The most difficult part of reading The Crucible is how the author Arthur Miller uses the language from the seventeenth century. But for the most part, the story is pretty interesting and easy to read. I personally would not be to anxious to read another book written by Arthur Miller only because I find books about history boring. I personally get most of my entertainment from the book. Overall, I find the book stimulating and the hysteria serves as a good cover-up to the main plot of the book which is revenge amongst the residence of Salem. ...
