and the ones that lived had very bad side affects and later died off. The female animals that survived from eating the plants had siblings, the siblings came out with major deformations and some did not survived for more than a day. So as you can tell that genetic engineering is bad for use and we cannot trust it. Many of animals have been tortured and killed in result of genetic engineering. Not does it only affect animal siblings we are affected by it also. Many females that have volunteered for this experiment have had bad experiences and they can no longer have kids. So why do we keep putting animals, humans in danger? We need to band this before it gets out of hand. Recent efforts at genetic engineering have produced horribly deformed pigs and other animals. Andrew Kimbrell an executive director of the International center for technology assessment. He believes it is unethical to produce such creatures. In addition, he argues that genetic engineering could decrease animal diversity and threaten public safety. A good example for this is 6707. That number was for a pig, the scientist that was inventing this pig said it was to be a super pig. Which was to grow faster, be super big, and have the best meat quality of any meat every produce by man. This so-called “super pig” was supposed to revolutionize agriculture. In 1988 researcher Vernon Pursel and his colleagues at the United States department of agriculture (USDA) researchers center in Beltsville, Maryland, had injected the human gene that governs growth into 6707 while he was still an embryo. The gene was supposed to become apart of 6707’s genetic code and thus help to create a pig that would grow larger and faster than any other pig has grown before. Pusel had hoped his super pig would mimic the success of the super mouse that had been created in 1982 by Ralph brinster, a genetic engineer at the school of veterinary medicine of the University of Pennsylvania. ...
