For this reason, it is easier and more acceptable to be of the male race. Men have it easier in society, at work, and First of all, women are more susceptible to discrimination and crime. In statistics from the U.S. Department of Justice, women, especially teenage girls, are the among the most frequent victims of sexual assault. Men are much less often subject to such crimes and therefore have it much easier. Also, women are at a disadvantage when it comes to trouble. According to Christine Derr, “ They(women) do not have the skills to know necessarily when they are in danger.” This makes women perfect targets for crime and discriminations. This fact also becomes a legitimate reason to want to be a Next, men are looked up to and respected more in the workplace than women tend to be.. It seems to be easier for men to get jobs and receive promotions over women. Men are seen as stronger physically and more intelligent mentally, putting them at an advantage to the female race. Although this is changing and men and women are slowly equaling out ,I still believe that it would be easier to be a male. Lastly women go through many changes that men do not have to go through. During puberty, females undergo maturation of the body and mind at a much faster rate than guys. This causes much stress that males would not have to go through until later on in life when they are able to handle it. Women also have the burden of bearing children and taking care of them. The women are usually expected to cook and clean at the same time as raising the kids. This makes the stress level of a female higher than that of a man. All of these are reasons that it would be sensible to want to be male. In conclusion, because of many stated facts and reasons I think it would be easier to be of the male race. We would be seen as intellectual, strong and respected human beings. Being male would help to reach this until the day when male and females are truly equal.
