movie shows. As the young lovers are drawn to each other they decide to elope. This is the beginning of the end of the calm William. As the town guards see the lovers interacting, they decide to rape the young women. Of course the minute the first scream is let out William strikes down the guards one at a time. His gives his young wife a horse and tells her ride off while he makes his own tracks. His wife is captured, and in order to attract William, her throat is cut and the war begins.The next scene that is presented is a rather solemn faced William on horseback. Whack! the first guard is struck down with one blow. William is on a rampage for the murder of his beloved wife. The guards are not able to withhold Will as well as the other townspeople. The fortress is overtaken and the noble who sliced Williams wife throat is given the same death.The King of England has just united France with his forces and his son will soon take over. The son is a nuisance and is unable to rule the Kingdom properly. As William rallied the people and took one fort after another, my heart just would not stop beating. The King proves his inability to rule with the decisions he makes. My pulse started to race and my mind was constantly working. If you are the type that likes medieval war, this movie is for you. In every scene someone is either sliced open, stabbed, or is unfortunate enough to lose a limb. The props used actually made the movie. I think that the battering ram, the bows and arrows, medieval swords and castles really depicted a life like emotion that can only be felt by using the real things.In the last scene Will has been betrayed and captured. Here the Queen visits Will before his untimely death and pleads to pledge his loyalty to be killed quickly. As a result of his high-strung pride, Will refuses the pain sedative that she gives him. Will is to be executed in a matter of hours and still will not give the oppressing king what he wants to...
