Possibly the class that should be taught in school, starting at a young age, is Human Equivalence. The curriculum would consist of teaching students different ethnic beliefs, allowing for the individuals to analyze each culture and to give them an alternative perspective on an alternative civilization. If the upcoming generation could be prominent in supporting a “global culture,” maybe it would only be a matter of time before a sense of isolation becomes obsolete. So why not teach equal rights now? We know that current belief about superior ethnic, racial or cultural superiority are incorrect, and children should be brought up to believe direct opposite. Teaching equivalency will only enhance personal growth within the young. It will allow them to become more open to others because their opinions will be valued and considered instead of being stepped upon and forgotten. Others may take into account a multidimensional view of a topic that they only used to see in one dimension. Multiple views are the foundation of education. The worldview is what teachers have been attempting to give students for the last ten years. Administrators preach that they try to teach individuals to think for themselves and to use a variety of techniques to solve even the most basic of problems. The knowledge of many heritages would support their attempts to get students to think on a global perspective. Pupils would become less selfish and begin to think of others as equals.The cultural barrier in all probability will not be removed from the list of problems surrounding our society. It never hurts, however, to take a chance on alleviating this problem through the course of educational action.
