How Tonto seems as if it was the bad town that they were leaving and Lordsburg, a place of high status. But really Tonto was bright in lighting and Lordsburg was dark and gloomy. The bright and dark contrasts may symbolize a growth of the characters from innocent civilians to surviving soldiers. Ringo and Dallas were mostly dressed in lighter attire than the others.
