Everything good has to come to an end, and the feeling of greatness ends after you stop using the drug. This is when a person can fall into a deep depression. This depression is called “steroid-induced anhedonia,” and this is when the ex user feels that life has no meaning or joy. This is the period of withdrawal, and it can become so bad the person could need medical assistance. Some depressions can become so bad that some people become suicidal. Steroids are “so dangerous that they can cost you your life or cause you to take someone else’s” (Clayton 35). Steroid-induced anhedonia can last up to five years. Some of the effects may not last forever, but if a user takes someone else’s life, they will destroy their own.Drugs are not always the answer if you want to look good quickly.
