I think that Leopold believes one day a lot of what we have today and he want it to be preserved so that in the future people have the chance to see there cultural inheritance like our ancestors let us see by preserving things.Conservation Esthetic and the problem of outdoor recreation. This part of the book seems to be talking about how different people view conservation in different ways. For example “Thus the wilderness society seeks to exclude roads from the hinterlands, and the chamber of commerce to extend them, both in the name of recreation”. I think that this sentence shows us that people use conservation and recreation as a tool to try and gain an advantage over others. There are many forms of recreation and I don’t think that building roads through the countryside is one of them. When the trains first started to go through the countryside people flocked there in the summer time for there recreation, and it became a tourist industry. ...
