It linked to his things he wants to do in is life, the world of the dreamers, hence it is read as the previous poem’s lines faster than the last line. In the last line, line 16, the author understands his engagements, duties, plans, promises- the reality, the real life waiting for him to return. The line is read slower, as for implying that the author knows his obligations come first. I can here it like he mumbles this line to himself.4. The figure of “La Belle Dame” symbolizes something that may have happened, or may happen to the reader. You discover something that you think you really like. You don't really understand it, but you are sure it is the best thing that has ever happened to you. You are thrilled. You focus on it. You give in to the beauty and richness and pleasure, and let it overwhelm you. Then the pleasure is gone. Far more than a normal letdown, the experience has left you crippled emotionally. At least for a while, you don't talk about regretting the experience. And it remains an important part of who you feel that you are. “Full beautiful-a faery’s child”, “She looked at me as she did love”, “She find me roots of relish sweet..”. “La Belle Dame sans Merci Hath thee in thrall!”- as the king and his knight become the belle dame’s slave we become slave to pleasure. “I saw their starved lips in the gloam...”- they become addicted to her, as the human get addicted to pleasure. ...
