Universe .As soon as Frank Sinatra become the leader of the Rat Pack it was stated that the packwas ahead for its time . The “Summit” meetings were the ultimate night club acts everassembled and The Pack was responsible for that . Frank . Dean , and Sammy Jr. carriedthe bulk of the show . They would sing , tell jokes ,do impressions , and do “cut up” .They also made films together such as “Robin and the Seven Hood” and “Ocean’s Eleven”featured all of the members of the Rat Pack . The Rat Pack were involved in politics.Frank Sinatra and the others worked for JFK’s presidential campaign , they were supportsof the campaign , they would do publicity and photo shots . Frank Sinatra even recordeda new version of “High Hopes” that become John F. Kennedy’s campaign song . But therelationship between JFK and Frank Sinatra soured making the relationship between PeterLawford , which is JFK’s brother-inlaw , to become also sour . After a few short years theRat Pack was no longer a band . But during the late 1980’s , Frank , Dean , Sammy Jr. alltried to rekindle the magic with a much-hyped tour , it was not the same , it failed . Deanwas then forced to leave the Pack because of illness . The years of fun-loving and highliving had taken a serious toll . Through out time the Pack was dying , Sammy Davis Jr.died in 1990 ,then Dean Martin in 1995 and more recently Frank Sinatra died in 1998 .The only members left from the Pack is Joey Bishop and Shirley Maclaine . After a brief retirement like Miles Davis , Sinatra resumed his singing career . In1993 he released the album Frank Sinatra Duets , on which many of his standard songswere engineered as duets with other famous artist/singers .
