Tupac A Mans Life
Tupac A Mans Life The rapper known as Tupac Shakur, was born in 1971 in Bronx, NY. Tupac's struggles began early. When Tupac was young, his mother was a member of the organization known as "The Black Panthers." Tupac survived a hard childhood with a drug addicted mother and the rough streets of Baltimore, where they both moved. Soon after their move, Tupac would attend the Baltimore High School for the Performing Arts. This school is what started Tupac in his love of poetry as well as music. Tupac also began writing his rap lyrics here. Rap and music inspired Tupac but may have also been his downfall. This is how he ultimately became the Tupac Shakur that was, is and possibly may always be the most controversial celebrity there ever was. Tupac later moved to Marin City, California. In Marin City Shakur went homeless for two years. He lived on the streets of Marin City and Oakland and sometimes stayed with friends. Through these times he continued to write and record his music, trying to somehow stimulate something so that could get him off the streets. During this time Tupac's mom was in and out of trouble and found herself luckily acquitted on 156 counts. Also, Shakur was dealing with the issue of his father's death. Tupac was tormented by the idea of never knowing his own father. All this lonliness began to wear him down. He began to realize that most of what he grew up around was self-delusion. He also realized that his mother was not the best person to be a role model for him and give him guidance on life. This left him directionless and turned his life into what popularly became known as "Thug Life." "Thug Life" was Tupac's own codes of conduct and rules that he would survive by . "Thug Life" became most popular after he served 6 months for sexual assault in state penetentionary Now things for Tupac began clearing up and he began to get on with his life. He was purely determined to make something of himself and prove everybody who said he would amount to nothing, wrong. From the first day he was alive he has had the cards stacked against him and now through music and rap he was beginning to rise from the ashes. Shakur got a gig with Digital Underground. Not a well known group at the time, but soon after his first gig he joined them. Digital Underground was soon Grammy-Nominated . Tupac Shakur sang in only one track on the album yet was a background dancer for them at concerts. Tupac continued writing poetry and rap during this time and the songs that he was putting together would later on proved Tupac's belonging. Tupac had his eyes on a solo career in which he could make, as he would say, "mad cash" so he could "buy my mom the house I've always promised her." He cut ties with Digital Underground in 1991. Through Tupac's poetry he let everyone know that he was sensitive underneath, you just had to look hard. Tupac's poems were mostly written about life. How he saw it, what he thought and what he felt about it. Noone ever paid attention in comparing his poems to his songs. When people say that "Tupac corrupts people by the messages he sends in his song," they never realized, when you add a beat and rhythm, his songs would come from his poetry in the first place. The beginning of Tupac's musical career was in 1992. This year was the year of Tupac's solo debut. Shakur released the album "2pacalypse Now," a "gangster rap" album that sent him into the fast lane to stardom. In the same year Tupac tried his acting ability in the low budget movie film "Juice." Juice, his very first film, was about gangs, death and friendship. Shakur's solo debut year was a hit. He made waves throughout the music community and the black community. Soon after Shakur's quick leap into stardom his future was not looking as easy. Tupac was arrested when a fight resulted in the accidental passing - away of a six year old. Charges on him were later dismissed because they found that he was not fully involved in the altercation. Shakur made it out of 1992 and into 1993 in which he recorded and released another album. This album "Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z," carried him over into the Hip-Hop charts. Soon after he found himself acting again. This time in John Singleton's film "Poetic Justice," in which Shakur played a single father and Janet Jackson's love intrest. Tupac's name was beginning to appear everywhere despite his troubles. Tupac cooled off for two years and then in 1995 he released the double-CD "All Eyez On Me." This album sold over three million copies within its' first year. His career was on a glowing path toward big fame and big money. Soon after "All Eyez On Me" was released. He followed it up with "Me Against The World," which debuted at number 1 on all US charts. This album is what sent Tupac's music career in an upward spiral. Tupac was still writing his poetry and became famous for some of his classic, heartfelt words. Shakur was living in the good times now and would not relinquish his throne for anyone. Even with Tupac's career rising there was something trying to hold him down. Tupac was involved in controversy over his album "2Pacalypse Now" when a man was found in possession with it when he was arrested for killing a Texas State Police Officer. This album was found to have references to Policemen being killed. Even vice president, at the time, Dan Quayle attacked the album when he was involved in a dispute with Hollywood over traditional values. Tupac shrugged this off and continued working on his music. Shakur's singles "I Get Around," and "Keep Ya Head Up," were nominated for an American Music Award, for best new rap artist. The year after his nomination, he collaborated with the group Thug Life for the "Above The Rim" soundtrack. He also appeared on Thug Life's album "Volume 1." Meanwhile Tupac's third solo release "Me Against The World" spent four more weeks at number one. His "All Eyez On Me" album sold more than 5 million copies up until now. Tupac's albums included his new label mates from Death Row Records. Some of the stars who were signed with Death Row were Dr. Dre and Snoop Doggy-Dogg. Snoop was very unproductive with his last solo album being released 3 years ago. Also Death Row suffered another blow when Co- Founder Dr. Dre left Death Row to start up his own record company. All of these events made Tupac the artistic centerpiece of Death Row Records. This also began Tupac's dictatorship of the "rap game" as most rappers call it. Tupac's musical career was in full gear now and nothing could stop him, especially since he had the backing of a very important friend, Suge Knight, who is also the owner of Death Row.During his life Tupac faced a lot of adversity and hardships, yet managed to walk out of it a better man and with more knowledge. Also within time he managed to make many enemies including "Bad Boy Entertainment" which is led by Sean "Puffy" Combs. September 13th, 1996 Tupac Shakur was shot and killed at age 25. Shakur and the founder of Death Row were driving after a Mike Tyson fight in Las Vegas. Their car was shot at twelve times and five of those bullets hit Tupac. Tupac Made it through two surgeries and 6 days then he was pronounced dead at 4:03p.m. September 13th, 1996. He was held at the University Medical Center of respiratory failure and cardio pulmonary arrest. The driver, Suge Knight was only grazed by shrapnel and was released from the hospital soon after. Tupac's death was covered by mystery from the first day the shootings were known. First of all, Tupac and Suge were driving to a club after the Tyson fight which is a big public event. Tupac usually always wore a bullet proof vest anywhere he went but for some reason he was not wearing it for the Tyson fight which is odd considering that he decided he absolutely had to wear it every time he was out in the public. Many people caught onto this and began asking questions. Yet the police did not, Suge Knight was never asked to come in and be questioned as to what exactly had happened and what he had saw. Also the police never gave much of a chase to the gunmen after Shakur's shooting had been reported. At least the police should have tried to catch them given Tupac's celebrity status. The white Cadillac containing Shakur's assailants was never found, which is crazy itself because Las Vegas is in the middle of a desert. Las Vegas is also known to be a payoff city so who's to say Tupac and Suge could not pull this off. Also the pictures of Tupac's autopsy shows him with stab wounds where as Tupac was supposedly shot. The vehicle that most people showed as the car in which Tupac was shot in was a blue BMW where as the police report specifically stated the vehicle was a Black BMW and how could a vehicle get shot 12 times and 1 person get hit 5 times and the driver gets skinned by shrapnel. There were also never any ballistic tests done or at least they were never made public for some reason. As all of these questions were arising Tupac was cremated. Another weird happening, when does someone get cremeated the day after he is murdered especially when he is a celebrity not to mentionthat Shakur did not want to be cremated rather he wanted to be buried and have a public service held, but those were canceled in Atlanta, as well as in Chicago. The statement that concludes all of this and supports everyones theory of Tupac Shakur really still being alive is in a interview in 1994 with Shakur in which he stated that "I want to get out of the limelight and stop being such a big star." What is a better way to get out of the limelight and not have paparazzi surrounding you all the time then faking your own death. Noone would ever think someone especially of Shakur's status would ever think of doing a stunt as daring as this. Shakur has also made references to his death in some of his songs, including stating that he died and came back, also he appeared on his album cover hung up on a cross like Jesus Christ who was also resserected. Among Tupac Shakur's mysterious death there is many alive theories about him. Some of these stories may be fact and some can also be opinions or just something that people came up with or figured out. At the time of Tupac's death he had a 72 million dollar life insurance policy, when he died you would think his mother who claims that would cash it. That policy has yet to be cashed still today, the weird part is that legally no actions could be taken against Shakur if he does happen to return from wherever he dissappeared to. Shakur also can return after seven years and avoid all legal battles and criminal charges because it states in the statute of limitations that you are allowed to fake your own death or alter your appearence if your life is in danger but two attempts must be made. Shakur also would always talk about his death and how his funeral would be so what other people would be able to do this. Shakur has Suge Knight who owns Death Row Records and has enough money for anything he could possibly want to use it for and then you have the superstar Shakur who has made millions in the music industry. They obviously have enough money to pull something like this off, yet Death Row never put up any kind of reward to find the killers of Tupac. Also everyone who knew anything about Tupac knows that he is greedy and all he wanted to do was make money. What is the best way to make a ton of money when your known and a superstar, the death of Tupac netted over 10 million dollars with his videos and cd's. In jail Shakur spoke about reading the books written by Niccolo Machiavelli who was a 16th century Italian war strategist. Machiavelli who 2pac changed his name to, only changed the spelling to Makavelli, wrote on how to deceive your enemies and invade their territory by surprise. He also wrote about faking your death in order to do all of this. If you take the letters in Tupac's Makavelli it spells Mak Alive or I am Alive. In the music video "I ain't Mad At Cha," Tupac is gunned down much like the way he was shot in real life, this shows that Shakur must have had this planned but in the following sentences I will give you more theories and clues that Tupac left everyone behind to sit and wonder about. In another video "Ambitionz As A Ridah," he says "pay off tha block, evade the cops, 'cause I know they coming for me, I been hesitant to reappear been away for years now I'm back, my adversaries been reduced to tears. This also is a very weird verse in Shakur's songs. He knew that the gunmen were coming for him so he dissappeared and now he scared to come back cause hes been gone all these years. Tupac is in a way telling us he is still alive yet how could someone with celebrity status be able to just dissappear and noone to ever notice him somewhere even if he is out of this country. Tupac was shot on Friday the 13th in September, Friday the 13th is a suspicious day to be shot on and in general it's known for weird things happening. After he died no pictures were ever released from the hospital of Shakur, which is weird because he mother doesn't even have any and you would think that she would want one last picture to remember her son by. Also when Tupac changed his name to Makavelli, he had one last video under 2pac in which he died in, then he released his first video under Makavelli and on that it said the video was shot October 1996, that is a month after Shakur was shot to death. Tupac Shakur has left many people wondering about what exactly did happen to him, and 83% of Tupac fans still hold on to the belief that Shakur is still alive. If he is to return it will be in the year 2003 because it is exactly 7 years from the time of his death and among many clues Shakur left us was the 7 day theory. No matter what Shakur will go down in history for the outrages he made and his music. Shakur left this mystery behing and his legacy will continue on. Bibliography:
