First, the most popular and most popular of the two faiths is Wicca. Anthropologists have said, in many of their historical studies, that they have found bits and pieces of evidence that show both Witchcraft and Wicca can be traced back thousands and thousands of years but there is no reliable evidence to prove these theories true. The only facts we have are that Wicca, as we see it today, was introduced in 1951. The person who deserves the credit for really bringing out the religion of Wicca is Gerald Gardener. He got into witchcraft a great deal and gained a good knowledge about it from the many experiences he had in his own Coven, or a church of witchcraft. After reading many books about witchcraft by popular historical writers like Margaret Murray, Robert Graves and a few others, Gerald published a book of his own, and it was the first official book on Wicca.
