Lao Tzu8217s response
Lao Tzu8217s response I am Lao Tzu. In response to Mr. Martin’s observation: “The mind cannot find truth by itself, but it sure as hell can find falsehood. The idea of stumbling through life with my heart open and my bull*censored* detector turned off doesn’t appeal to me.” The mind cannot find truth by itself. If the mind strives not to follow the Tao, the Tao will be found. To look for falsehood is to find truth. Stumbling through life is not advisable. He who is contented is rich. (p. 156) Tao invariable takes no action, and yet there is nothing left undone. (p. 158) All things in the world come from being. And being comes from non-being. (p. 160) To know that you do not know is the best. (p. 172) Bibliography: (A Source Book in Chinese Philosophy)
