he would take the opportunity to escape. Also, his out right scrutinizing of the whole jury shows his disgust of the system and he was trying to accomplish was God’s work. Then it did not make any sense when Crito came to spring him out of jail and he declined. Then his reasons for not springing jail was completely opposite from his attitude during the “Apology”. Though his arguments he made for the reason why he would not escape jail made sense, he was in jail because of how strongly he felt. Socrates had strong arguments on both sides in why he should go against the country and why he should stay in jail. I believe he would have be justified by escaping jail with Crito according to Socrates he was not willingly committing a wrong or breaking laws of the country....
