To prevent conflicts during Setup, it is important to quit all open programs and close all open windows before installing the encyclopedia. NOTE If Setup unexpectedly quits, it may be because you do not have a licensed copy of Encarta products. Note for Windows NT users: To install Encarta Encyclopedia on a Windows NT machine, you must be a system administrator. The encyclopedia no longer supports the /a and /n switches for administrative network setup. For details on setting up the encyclopedia on a network, see the Network Administrator's Guide (NAG.HLP) in the Support directory on either the Encarta Encyclopedia 2000 compact disc or the Installation and Resources compact disc. NOTE When you install to a compressed drive, Setup is not able to accurately estimate the amount of disk space required. If Setup fails, you will need to delete files from your hard drive until there is room to install the encyclopedia. Installation instructions are given below for Encarta Encyclopedia 2000 and Encarta Encyclopedia Deluxe 2000. Follow the instructions for the version you purchased.
