For one, just looking as though you are male will change how many look at her when first meeting her. How other look at Sara will change Sara'a view on life. Her looking as though she is male will find it harder for her to meet other males who she might be interested in. Since body does play a large part in attraction, although people don't like to admit it, it will change Sara view on life and herself. Her being an outcast now would make her self-esteem drop dramatically and also her attitude towards life. If this happens long enough it will change her mind. She will no longer be the same Sara as before. Another way of looking at it is like this. The way the body feels, makes a big difference in life. If her body is a machine how will she feel pain of touching something burning hot, how will she feel the relaxing touch of a friends hand, or even the warmth of a hug. The body will not be able to experience this. So how will the mind be able to interpet this? Will the lack of feeling affect her mind too? Not having a body to experience this, will cause her mind to miss out in something Sara has always had. This will change sarah.So then what is it, is she in the mechanical body or is she in the body in the hospital bed being kept alive.? This is where the problem of occurs. Why must philosophers have one definite answer? Sara is in both places. Her brain is in the mechanical body and her body in on the hospital bed. Sara is not complete. She is in two different places, and being this way things will never be the same as they were before. A better way to look at it is that there is no Sara at all.
