Does anybody know the similarities between comedies and tragedies? Comedies and tragedies are both very different from each other, yet have some similarities also. Comedies and tragedies are both used for entertainment, both have darker elements, and tragedies can be use to prove a point. Comedies are generally used for entertainment because of the fact that they are supposed to be funny.
