She tells him that she wants him to leave with the argument that he needs to learn to respect his elders. She talks of all the things she needs to do tomorrow. She started visiting her children and grandchildren when she was 60. She talks of John, saying she wants to see him to show him that her kids have been raised well, but decides against it. She also talks of Hapsy being her child she always wanted, and describes her holding a baby. She talks also of George, saying she is happier without him, remembering the cake being made and the altar standing empty besides her own body. Next, a priest comes and starts to talk to her in Latin and tickles her feet. While he is doing that she pulls out a rosary from her bosom. She tells Cornelia that she is not dying because she is being taken by surprise. She demands a sign from god, and realizes again that there is a priest and but still no bridegroom. The light dimmed then, her recognizing that she knew no greater sin than this. Granny then leans over and blows out the light. Bibliography: Word Count: 228
