Mothers and their children form a bond no matter the stage of pregnancy, during any stage the mother and the fetus or child are one. The privilege to give birth is a gift and not a burden, God designed the women body for this purpose. Freedom plays a big part in the abortion issue. Individuals do not have a clear understanding of freedom. Is freedom something like will: the ability to chose something in anyway you choose, freedom without the regard to truth, to what some would call natural law? Freedom without regard to the common good?(Alvare p. 54) Individual have the freedom to have or not to have sex, and the freedom to choose their mates. The thing individuals do not have the right to do is killing. No one has the freedom to kill or take another life that is immoral and wrong. All humans have the same right to live compared to other humans: whether rich, poor, majority or minority this being deserves the same chance we were all given. (Alvare p.54) According to the Catholic Church, a person is living when as young as an embryo, which refers to an organism at its early stage of development, through the fetus stage, which is from the end of the eighth week until birth. It is considered a baby until the last second of life before death. The Catholics and other religious groups feel it is selfish to abort an unborn child. This aborted child could have been destined to create world peace, make the invention of the century, find a cure for Aids or other diseases or maybe have children of his or her own to continue the struggling human race. Some Pro-choice supporters feel that the Roman Catholic Churchs opinion leaves no room for human reasoning.
