le believe that there is better form ofpunishment than the death penalty. One of those other forms of punishment is life inprison. Other people believe that after a person has served their sentence in prison thenthat is enough punishment for the crime they have committed. I dont believe in either oneof these punishments because I dont think that these punishments, especially thepunishment where the person is let out after his or her sentence is up, can really work. Although I do think that the punishment of life in prison can work if the person did not killanyone or have the intention of killing anyone but if the person did kill someone or had theintention of killing someone then they should be put to death. I am interested in this topic because it is such a big issue these days in America. This has always been a very controversial issue in America but the issue really came outmore than usual within the past six months with the presidential election. Texas does havethe most inmates put to death each year in the country and since George W. Bush was thegovernor of Texas at that time and running for president many of Americas voters whoopposed Bush brought that issue up many times.
